work
Over the past several years, I've worked with companies headquartered in 3 countries. Health tech, fintech, insurtech, and SaaS, but at its core it's always the same job: understand needs, weigh priorities, and build products that understand their users.
Where I tend to contribute the most on a team:
- Design systems teams actually adopt
- I build and consume internal component libraries, and handle the unglamorous parts that decide whether anyone actually uses them: spacing tokens, registry setup, and wiring libraries into product apps.
- Client-side integrations built with quality and instrumentation
- Stripe, Rokt, Amplitude, Flagsmith, BriteVerify, Turnstile. Payments, analytics, feature flags, A/B testing, and plenty more.
- An observability mindset on the frontend
- I instrument what I ship: Datadog browser logs and production dashboards, frontend and backend connected end to end, and errors ranked by severity from real data instead of argued about in a meeting.
- Frontend depth, without stopping at the API
- React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind are my comfort zone, but I also develop the Node services and REST APIs behind them, integrated Ruby on Rails, wired up Angular micro-frontends, and put LLM APIs into real production products used by millions of people.
- Modernizing code that still has to ship
- I've modernized React and Rails apps that had been in production for years and pulled them into modern patterns, TypeScript, and real test coverage, as a series of safe steps backed by risk and constraint analysis, not a rewrite that stops the roadmap.
- Closing the loop, not just the pull request
- I follow a change through review, merge, deploy and monitoring, and write the RFC when a structural decision needs clarity before it turns into chaos. Most of my work happens as the bridge between design, backend, DevOps and product.

PetScreening·Sep, 2024 — Presentnow
A consumer SaaS platform for long-term rental pet screening, used by thousands of property management companies across the US.
I own the long-term rental frontend end to end: the design system other product teams build on, the integrations payments and analytics run through, and the Datadog instrumentation that turned production errors from guesswork into a ranked list the team actually acts on.
what I did→
- Building and shipping React + Next.js features for the long-term rental product, a consumer funnel used by thousands of property management companies across the US
- Owning complex client-side integrations: Stripe payments, Rokt placements, Amplitude analytics, Flagsmith feature flags, plus BriteVerify and Turnstile in the account creation flow
- Building the internal design system: Select, Combobox, Field, Alert, and RadioGroup components, spacing tokens, and the private registry setup that lets product apps consume the library
- Instrumenting the frontend with Datadog: browser logs, production error dashboards, and frontend/backend correlation through a shared trace id, then classifying errors by severity from real collected data
- Running A/B experiments across the funnel: variants, redirects, and the analytics that settle them, while keeping the LTR and Growth codebases' responsibilities cleanly separated
- Driving Tailwind CSS adoption, modernizing the Webpack/Shakapacker build, and pulling legacy React and Ruby on Rails code toward patterns that scale, with an RFC whenever a structural decision needs agreement before it gets built
